Focus on exam results.
Two Year 12 students, Lara J and Hamza K, were honoured with the 2025 Principal’s Award for Community Leadership after launching a successful Peer Mentoring and Tutoring Program at Sorrento Grammar.
What began as a lunchtime study club has grown into a whole-school initiative connecting older and younger students across all year levels.
Highlights of the program include:
- Weekly tutoring sessions in Maths and English
- Peer mentoring workshops on wellbeing and transition
- Leadership development opportunities for senior students
“This initiative truly reflects our school values in action—compassion, initiative and community,” said Principal Angela Fraser.
Plans are already underway to extend the program into a co-curricular leadership badge in 2026.
